Site and bookmarklet by Matthew Freedman to create Flickr base-58 short URLs from an image’s full path. Update: Na Wong has another bookmarklet solution that displays the URL in a pretty overlay and sends it directly to Twitter. (via Preshit Deorukhkar)

Just added to the Tumblr API:

  • Create drafts, queued posts, and submissions.
  • Specify a custom URL slug.
  • Send custom messages to Twitter with new posts.

staff: Now testing: Replies This very beta new feature allows people you follow to reply to your posts. So far, this feature only works from the Dashboard and only on your primary blog. Some big updates are on the way. :) You can enable it by checking off Customize → Advanced → Enable replies.
